Email to Voice

Trigger voice calls that read your message aloud. Perfect for urgent alerts that need to wake people up – even at night.

How It Works

Send an email, and TeamMessage calls the recipient's phone. An AI-powered voice reads your message text aloud with natural-sounding speech.

Automatic Voice for Landlines

When a team member's phone number is a landline (which cannot receive SMS), TeamMessage automatically uses voice calls to deliver the message.

Note

No configuration needed – landline numbers are automatically detected and receive voice calls instead of SMS.

Voice for Mobile Numbers

If you want mobile numbers to also receive voice calls instead of SMS, this can be configured for an entire team list.

Tip

Switching a team list to 'Voice only' is especially useful for alerting scenarios. The phone keeps ringing until someone answers – perfect for night-time emergencies where an SMS might go unnoticed.

Note

To enable voice calls for mobile numbers, please contact support@teammessage.de or use the contact form.

When to Use Voice

  • Critical alerts that must be noticed immediately
  • Night-time emergencies (phone rings wake people up)
  • Recipients with landline phones
  • Situations where a ringing phone gets more attention than a text

Retry Behavior

If a voice call is not answered, TeamMessage automatically retries. The number of retries and the interval between them can be configured.
