Receiving SMS

TeamMessage can receive incoming SMS messages and forward them via email or to your team. This enables two-way communication and allows SMS-only devices to integrate with your workflows.

sms2team

With sms2team, you can send a TeamMessage by SMS. This is useful when you're on the go without internet access, or for machines and equipment that can only send SMS alerts.

How It Works

  1. Send an SMS to the gateway number: +49 151 23710560
  2. Start your message with your team identifier (team name, email, or account ID)
  3. Add a space, then your message text
  4. TeamMessage distributes the message to all team members

Examples:

  • myteam Server room temperature critical
  • 999123 Emergency maintenance required

Note

Your mobile number must be authorized as a sender for the team list.

sms2account

sms2account enables two-way SMS communication. When you send an SMS through TeamMessage, recipients can reply – and their replies are forwarded to your email.

How It Works

  1. Enable sms2account for your team list
  2. When you send SMS, recipients see the shared gateway number as sender
  3. When a recipient replies, TeamMessage identifies which team list last sent to that number
  4. The reply is forwarded to your configured email address

Example workflow:

  1. You send: 'Appointment reminder: Tomorrow 10:00'
  2. Customer replies: 'Please reschedule to 14:00'
  3. You receive an email with the customer's reply
  4. You can reply directly from your email client

Note

The recipient receives an email with your message and your phone number as the sender reference.

Tip

This free service is useful for quick messages when you only have SMS available. For business use, we recommend the paid services with more features and reliability.
